Lud<\/strong><\/a>o<\/a> is a game played and evolved by many generations in the history<\/strong>. The first ever version known as \u201cPachisi\u201d<\/a> was created in India in the 6th<\/sup> century.<\/strong> The earliest evidence of this game\u2019s evolution in India is the depiction of boards on the caves of Ellora.<\/a> The original also referred as \u201cChaupar\u201d<\/a>, is very famous to be played in Mahabharat <\/strong>where Pandavas lost all their wealth when they lost in game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contemporary version, Chaupar<\/strong> was played with the shells<\/strong> they find in the sea. Number of shells with top side visible is the number of moves you get for your pieces. Next, Pachisi was modified to play with a cubic die<\/strong> with dice cup and it was further patented as \u201cLUDO\u201d in England in 1896.<\/strong> The royal navy took Ludo and converted it into board game \u201cUckers\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As most of us know that, typical ludo board is colored bright yellow, green, red and blue.<\/strong> Each player has four tokens<\/strong> and the goal of the game is to make sure you reach your color home<\/strong> with all four tokens first. There are some safe places where you can\u2019t be killed, while on your journey you kill other players<\/strong> token to move ahead faster and the dice decided how many steps to move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludo is a game played and evolved by many generations in the history teaches us many things, starting from just basic counting<\/strong> to motor skills<\/strong> for young kids to managing<\/strong> multiple tokens and understanding the permutations and combinations<\/strong> of the number rolled on dice. Taking quick decisions<\/strong> in order to move forward. Always look out for enemies<\/strong> they come from all directions. Luck<\/strong> is rarely going to work in your favor.
