This<strong> game in wood and silicone<\/strong> has particularly intrigued us at first glance for the <strong>simplicity<\/strong> of the project and the effectiveness of the results that can be obtained; deepening the research then we discovered that there is much more behind these constructions.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Piks<\/strong> consists of two simple elements, a wooden\u00a0flat surface and a silicone cone (hollow), which vary in size. The inventors define it a <em>&#8216;creative balance toy&#8217;<\/em>\u00a0 because the aim of the game is to create constructions, paths or shapes with the pieces in the box, by balancing the structure as it\u00a0grows and preventing\u00a0it from collapsing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4917\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"434\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-7.png 680w, https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-7-320x204.png 320w, https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-7-640x408.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The designers at <a href=\"http:\/\/oppitoys.com\/?lang=en\"><strong>Oppi<\/strong><\/a>, toy brand\u00a0that develops\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/category\/educational\/\"><strong>educational products<\/strong><\/a>, to design <strong>a crowdfunding to develop children&#8217;s concentration<\/strong>, have started by observing that children are less and less used\u00a0to <strong>concentrate<\/strong>, especially because of new technologies and many digital tools. Moreover this analysis examines the natural child&#8217;s inclination to <strong>distract easily<\/strong>, especially from the age of 4-5, a phase of growth characterized by the beginning of autonomy and a great <strong>curiosity and energy<\/strong>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder\"><strong>ADHD<\/strong> <\/a>(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a disease\u00a0which includes <strong>difficulty in attention<\/strong>, concentration, impulse control and activity level. These problems derive essentially from the child&#8217;s inability to regulate his behavior according to the pass of time, the targets to be achieved and the demands of the environment. There are different practices of <strong>meditation<\/strong> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.successconsciousness.com\/increase-child-concentration.html\"><strong>activities<\/strong> <\/a>to put the child at his ease, in a calm environment that encourages the control of emotions, but the core question of the <strong>toy designers<\/strong> was: can you teach concentration while having fun?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4921\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-8.png 680w, https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-8-320x213.png 320w, https:\/\/www.toy-design.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a-crowdfunding-to-develop-childrens-concentration-8-640x426.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From this question born Pisk, <strong>a crowdfunding to develop children&#8217;s concentration<\/strong> now on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/oppi\/piks-0?ref=discovery&amp;term=toy\"><strong>Kickstarter<\/strong><\/a>. From a technical and design point of view, the choice of <strong>materials<\/strong> is winning: the <strong>silicone<\/strong> cones prevent the <strong>wooden<\/strong> surface from slipping thanks to friction, allowing the child to get the inclinations he wants. For now this <strong>educational toy<\/strong> has all the requisites for stimulating different important aspects for the <strong>growth<\/strong> of a child, one of them is the urge to take <strong>risks<\/strong> and make decisions through a constant process of <strong>trial and error<\/strong>. We do not know where it will come, but Piks shows that there may still be\u00a0a place in the toy industry for well-designed, <strong>analogic toys<\/strong> and for <strong>educational<\/strong> games that arise from a serious and real needs analysis.
