Awakening of kids to technology with STEM toys<\/strong>, this is the case of Zow<\/a>i<\/a><\/strong> a little intelligent robot which help children to discover how technology<\/a><\/strong> works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zowi<\/a><\/strong> is a project designed by bq<\/a><\/b> who has proposed an evolutionary system<\/strong> developing this intelligent robot for the smaller. The main of bq<\/a><\/strong> is bringing Zowi<\/a> <\/strong>to schools to allow children of ages 8 and up to learn code and programming<\/strong> while playing<\/strong> and put them into the world of technology safely<\/strong> while entertaining. Teaching at the same time that technology<\/a><\/strong> can be transparent, proximate and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, even being a toy it has an educational<\/a> ecosystem<\/strong> with an extensive pedagogical pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zow<\/a>i<\/a><\/strong> is an open source smart robot<\/strong>, which means that the physical ecosystem, the code and the app have all been made freely available<\/strong> so that anyone can understand it and modify it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This friendly robot  already knows how to do a few things when you take it from the box for the first time like walk, dance, dodge obstacles, emit sounds and make mouth gestures. So just pressing the three buttons of the back children can explore the basic functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the age of the child and their pace of learning the tasks can increase their complexity since Zow<\/a>i<\/a><\/strong> adapts and  increase the difficulty progressively<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After play and explore with the firmware<\/a><\/strong> of the toy, children can start using the timeline<\/strong> to create easy sequences of movements, gestures and sounds. With this simple task kids can learn about sequential thinking<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, in the app<\/strong> <\/a>children can find different games<\/strong> and projects<\/a><\/strong> with theoretical lessons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
