Design for kids in days of routines<\/strong> allows to make each day different and more special for children,\u00a0where kids are also able to develop new skills and learn new things<\/strong> while playing and interacting with\u00a0everyday products<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, children after school have a lot of homework of different subjects, extra activities and responsibilities at home. Therefore, it is still important to find a moment where allow children to play<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Play is learning,<\/strong> while playing kids have their young minds open to learn in new and fun ways; even if\u00a0children don\u2019t know that they are doing it. In other words, play makes learning<\/strong> something that happens naturally and joyfully, when a child laughs and wonders, explores and imagines. Furthermore, in\u00a0play<\/strong>, children develop a lasting disposition to learn.<\/p>\n

Play Chair<\/strong><\/a> is a chair designed by studio deFORM<\/a><\/strong> that combines free play<\/strong> with a practical wood chair<\/strong>.\u00a0The main features of it are sitting, playing, storing and sharing<\/a>.
\n<\/strong>
\nIt is made of durable bended plywood and it is composed by fifteen foam building bricks covered in\u00a0colorful fabric which can be taken off and washed. Play Chair<\/strong> has a light structure that allows an easy\u00a0carry around and manipulation.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s furniture must be for children,
\nrather than small copies\u00a0of adult furniture.<\/p>\n

During free time<\/strong> children can play with the foam bricks and stimulate their creativity<\/strong> building a fort, a\u00a0house, a secret refuge, a tunnel or whatever their imagination suggests them.<\/p>\n

Kids can enter inside the building structure and play<\/strong> with it, living their own stories and sharing<\/strong> it with\u00a0their families and friends.<\/p>\n

Then, when it is time to clean up, the building bricks are fitted back into the wooden fame of the chair,\u00a0so it doesn\u2019t occupy much space and also this also provides an additional seat<\/strong> which can be used by\u00a0children\u2019s teddybears or other friends.<\/p>\n

Therefore, design<\/a>\u00a0for kids<\/a><\/strong> thinking how to improve these days of routines<\/strong> helping children to easily\u00a0find a way to be creative and play during their spare time<\/strong>, can help them to develop different skills, for\u00a0example creating new spaces or new stories from just a wood chair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kid\u2019s imagination is endless<\/strong>, let\u2019s help them to use it and enjoy every opportunity to play, create and\u00a0learn<\/strong> in their free time.<\/p>\n
